In 1991 Toyota released the MR2 Turbo to the car-buying market. The MR2 came in two configurations: Base and Turbo. The Turbo configuration is powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 28 highway miles and 22 city. The MR2 competes in the Coupe market segment, in direct competition with Honda.
As time has gone by several things can be said about the Toyota MR2 series: including the strong reaction most buyers have towards their car. The 4-cylinder engine is at the core of the strong emotions, it is reliable for its class and delivers a huge amount of torque.
