I'm calling this a friend. She wants to buy a used car, and she 's a real budget. I 'd say no as no more than $ 4000 at most. Really more than anything the car needs to be reliable and have a good valve. FWD or RWD does not matter. The brand does not matter either, as it 's not an expensive brand to repair (such as Mercedes or Lexus). Security is not important. May be a sedan, a car or a sports car.

I’m pretty happy with my 4 cyl. Accord. It is’nt going to the drag races but it gets to 75 mph quick enough and it more than makes up for it with the handling and mileage.

    Get one of those!

U don’t have a chance of buying such a car. Maybe from a repo directly from a credit union. I bought a real decent 400 cc Motorcycle for $50 that way. I was driving down the stret, saw the thing, just wandered in to see what was what. Next thing, I am standing back out on the didewalk with a pink slip (owners certificate) in my hand!

There is another way if you have the time. Buy a cream-puff one owner from a widow or widower at a seniors mobile home park. The surviving oldster does not drive anymore and may have a cherry, well maintained old car just sitting in the car port!

There are so many things to consider before buying a used car. For example, how big, what kind of gas mileage are you expecting, where you’ll be driving it on a daily basis, repair costs, what features you absolutely cannot live without, etc. There are alot of good choices of car models out there like Volvo, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda and Saturn to name a few . Here’s a website that can help further:
