Nissan 350Z

The 2006 350Z is an important vehicle to Nissan for the coupe market segment. The Base is a member of a series of five trim levels for the 350Z which include Base, Enthusiast, Grand Touring, and Track. The two-door car with its rear-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Nissan. There is strong competition from vehicles from Lexus.

2006 Nissan 350Z Base Specs

The restyled 350Z Base is equipped with a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a Jatco five-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2005 version.

The 350Z uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.

For the 2006 350Z, the fuel configuration is a electronic SFI, using gasoline for fuel. A fuel-injected MFI configuration. The gas tank holds 20.00 gallons.

The 2005 model began the promise of the Nissan 350Z. The 2006 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Nissan hopes that the 350Z Base will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
