A lot has been said about the Scion tC for 2007. As Scion’s entry in the coupe market the tC (and in this case specically the Base version) has maintained a solid reputation. The 2-door tC is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect car to help Scion as a brand in general.
Engine Performance
The tC Base is equipped with a Toyota 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The engine is mated to a Toyota 5-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Scion.
The tC uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.

The 2007 tC gets 30 - 31 miles/gallon on the highway and only 23 in the city. This is average for a coupe car.
In Summary
The 2006 model began the promise of the Scion tC. The 2007 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Scion hopes that the tC Base will continue to be a profitable vehicle.

I’m definiately wanting a flex fuel coupe. Since the tC isn’t, is it a good buy?
