The dimensions of the Cabriolet Classic are 64.60 inches wide by 153.10 inches long. It sits a comfortable 55.60 inches off the ground. It seats a standard four passengers, with 2 doors. The wheelbase of 94.50 allows for limited leg room for the backseat passengers.

A powertrain warranty is provided (50,000* miles/36* months), and a 50,000* mile, 60* month guarantee also comes with the Volkswagen Cabriolet.

The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $20,230 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of an industry-average price. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Convertible.

Fuel Efficiency

The 1993 Cabriolet gets 26 - 30 miles/gallon on the highway and only 23 - 24 in the city. This is exceptional for a convertible car.

In 1992 and 1993 the Cabriolet Classic was availble in the exterior colors of several colors. Additional options were made available by the factory.

Conclusion

The 1993 model year was unsuccessful for the Volkswagen Cabriolet. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the Classic version) meant that buyers had several options to choose from..
