A lot has been said about the Volkswagen GTI for 2007. As Volkswagen’s entry in the hatchback market the GTI (and in this case specically the Base version) has maintained a solid reputation. The 2-door GTI is especially appealing to wide market segment, making it a perfect car to help Volkswagen as a brand in general.

The 2008 GTI is an important vehicle to Volkswagen for the hatchback market segment. The Base is a member of a series of one trim levels for the GTI which include Base. The two-door car with its front-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Volkswagen. There is strong competition from vehicles from Toyota.
In 2009 Volkswagen released the GTI Base to the car-buying market. The GTI came in one configurations: Base. The Base configuration is powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 23 highway miles and 17 city. The GTI competes in the Hatchback market segment, in direct competition with Kia.
There have been several award-winning cars from Volkswagen over the years, including the Volkswagen GTI of 2006. There are one trim levels to the GTI, including Base. The Base version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2005 the popular 2.0 liter has made this a popular choice for hatchback buyers across the country.
